Walt Disney World Magic Your Way Ticket Options

One of the main components of a “Magic Your Way” vacation package, is theme park tickets. This can be a bit of a confusing decision. Knowing how each of the different ticket types works, helps to make the decision a much easier one.

There are basically 3 options for park tickets;

Base ticket = you each may visit 1 park per day ( you may enter and exit that same park more than once in the same day).

Park hopper ticket = you may “hop” to and from different parks within the same day.

With base tickets and park hopper ticket options, you can enter the 4 major theme parks included are Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Epcot, and Hollywood Studios.

Park Hopper Plus = provides the option of admission to Disney’s Blizzard Beach water park, Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park, Disney’s Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf Course, Disney’s Winter Summerland Miniature Golf Course, a round of golf at Disney’s 9-hole Oak Trail Golf Course, or ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. You can also Park hop at the four theme parks as much as you wish through the length of the ticket, but the number of visits to the additional locations (like the miniature golf courses and water parks) will be the same number of days on your park ticket. For example, if you have a 5-day ticket, you can visit the extra locations 5 times during your stay.

With a Magic Your Way vacation package, you can choose between a 2-day and 10-day ticket length. Tickets are valid for 14 days after first use and cannot be transferred to different guests. All guests on your resort reservation must choose the same ticket type and length.

You can opt for ticket only packages as well as 1-day water park admission tickets. There are also special event tickets for seasonal events such as Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party that runs select evenings in September and October,  and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party that is held select evenings in November and Decemeber! See my posts on those in detail!
