All About Disney Cruise Line
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Are passports required to sail with Disney Cruise Line?
Passports are required on sailings that start and or finish outside of the US. For sailings that start and end in a US port (considered closed loop sailings), they are not required, but VERY strongly recommended. Please see Disney Cruise Line citizenship document details HERE.
Are there drink packages we can purchase before our cruise?
Disney Cruise Line does not offer alcoholic drink packages that can be added to your cruise vacation. They do offer some beer/wine packages once on the ship, however. All non-alcoholic soft drinks, juices, coffee are included and are complimentary while onboard.
Should I fly in the morning of my cruise?
We recommend that you fly in the day before your sailing. Airlines can be very unpredictable and if any flight delays happen, you run the very large risk of missing the sailing altogether. Flying in the day prior will alleviate any potential added stress and ensure smooth sailing!
What age do kids need to be to enjoy the kids’ clubs?
There are children’s club activities for children ages 3+ in various options from The Oceaneers Club and lab all the way up to teen activities in the Edge and Vibe. No matter the age or interest, there is an activity for all kids! Note- there are also nursery services for babies and toddler for an additional charge.
Can I bring alcohol on the ship with me?
Disney Cruise Line Guests 21 years and older may bring a maximum of 2 bottles of unopened wine or champagne (no larger than 750 ml) or 6 beers (no larger than 12 ounces) on board at the beginning of the voyage and at each port of call. These beverages must be packed in carry-on (not checked) bags or luggage. Guests wishing to consume wine or champagne that they have brought on board in one of the dining rooms will be charged a corking fee of $25.00 per bottle.
Is there much for adults to do on a Disney Cruise?
YES! There are endless opportunities for adults to enjoy quiet and fun without the kids in tow. From adult only areas on the pool deck, hot tubs, spa, fitness center to bars & lounges with live entertainment- you are sure to enjoy yourself on the MAGIC that is Disney for all ages! There are specialty classes you can sign up for too, such as mixology classes and champagne tastings too. We cannot forget the award-winning adult only dining restaurants too! You can enjoy a fantastic brunch or a wonderful dinner while the children enjoy some time in the kids’ clubs on all Disney ships!
