Park Hopping at Universal

Park to park tickets

Universal Studios has several different options for tickets to enjoy their theme parks.  After deciding on the number of days you want to spend in the parks, you will have the option to decide if you want a base ticket or a park to park ticket.

Base tickets allow you to visit one park per day.  A Park to Park ticket allows you the opportunity to visit multiple parks in a single day. The park to park ticket is required to ride the Hogwarts Express, which in addition to being a fun attraction is also a trip between Kings Cross Station in Universal Studios and Hogsmeade Station in Islands of Adventure.

The Park to Park option when selected with a three park ticket is also a great way to include Volcano Bay in your day.  Spend the morning riding thrill rides and the afternoon relaxing and recharging in the Lazy river.

Park to Park also allows for you to head over to another park to get in one more ride at the end of the day, as well as take advantage of the full park day.  Start your day at the park that opens earlier and then head over to the park with the later closing time to take advantage of the full day.  For example if Universal is open from 9-5, and Islands of Adventure is open from 10-6, this will give you an extra hour of adventure in your day.

Park to Park is also wonderful for families with varieties of interests and ages.  Our family has a 13 year age difference from our oldest to our youngest.  While the older kids love the Hulk coaster at Island of Adventure, our youngest loves the Minion Mayhem. Park to park gives families the opportunity to divide up and enjoy favorites and then meet up at Mel’s for dinner!
