Moderate Resorts

Walt Disney World Moderate Resorts-  Rooms in these resorts are slightly larger than those in the value,  have some more dining options and more elaborate pools with water slides! These resorts are also a bit closer to the theme parks and at a slightly higher price point than the value resorts.

Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside Resort & French Quarter Resort

Themed after old time New Orleans, this resort is made of 2 sections, Riverside, and French Quarter. Both offer excellent amenities and a quaint setting with views of the Sassagoula River. You can even hop a water taxi to Disney Springs via the river. Resort rooms sleep up to 5 guests with queen beds and pull out twin murphy beds. You can even book a “Royal Room” that is fit for a princess here! So fun! With multiple room types, pools, and dining options, this resort is a favorite amongst many!

Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort

A tropical paradise built around 45-acre Barefoot Bay, this Resort hotel brings the Islands to you with swaying palm trees, colonial architecture and so much more. Six villages—Trinidad North, Trinidad South, Martinique, Barbados, Aruba and Jamaica—host colorful Guest rooms, some pirate-themed! Enjoy “island hopping” (or pool hopping) as you explore 200 lushly landscaped acres, or simply find a hammock and soak up the sun. These rooms sleep up to 5 guests with queen beds and pull out Murphy beds to accommodate larger families (pirate rooms sleep 4 and have double beds). Because this resort is so large, it offers an in-resort shuttle system and has multiple park stops to make getting out to the parks easier for you!

With multiple pools, water slides, splash area, and resort activities, there is plenty to entertain you when you are not in the parks!

Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort

Coronado Springs is a wonderful moderate level resort with standard rooms as well as deluxe rooms and suites! This is also an onsite convention center- and offers many great amenities for those traveling on business. Sun worshipers of all ages will dig the Dig Site, a sprawling pool complex with a Mayan ruins theme. Discover the Lost City of Cibola pool, whose centerpiece is a 50-foot pyramid where weary explorers can revive themselves in the waters streaming down its stone steps. A 123-foot-long waterslide featuring a spitting Jaguar spirit animal makes for a fierce ride. There are also 3 quiet pools, and this resort is home to the largest hot tub on resort property! There is a wide range of recreational activities available, including bike rentals!

Coronado Springs has many dining options, ranging from snacks, to quick service, table service, and in room dining options. We like to think of this resort as a moderate plus, as it has more amenities than some of the other moderate level resorts on Walt Disney World property.

Disney’s Ft. Wilderness Resort Cabins

Settle into a fully furnished private cabin in the woods that to sleeps up to 6 adults. This resort and cabins are full of rustic charm, and offer a living room, bedroom, full bathroom, private patio, charcoal grill and modern kitchen complete with a refrigerator, dishwasher, convection/microwave oven and 2 countertop burners. Housekeeping even does your dishes!

The dock is a close walk for an easy 10-minute boat ride to Magic Kingdom park or rent a golf cart or bike and explore grounds!
