I may live in Massachusetts, but Walt Disney World is my “home.” My childhood was filled with princesses and characters, I honeymooned at the Boardwalk, announced pregnancies on Main Street USA and all three of my children had their first haircut at the Harmony Barber Shop in Magic Kingdom. Disney is forever a part of my story.
With over 30 years of magical memories to look back on, it may sound odd that my favorite part of a Disney vacation is the planning. It’s the start of the magic for me. The excitement of choosing the perfect resort, snagging the most delicious dining reservations, perfecting our Genie+ strategy and the anticipation of seeing my children’s faces when we finally announce “We are going to Disney World!” is just the best.
