Since I was small Disney has been part of the magic of my childhood. I have some of the best memories of being there with my parents and grandparents. We usually travelled as a group of 20 or more since all the aunts, uncles, and cousins went together. My favorite memory as a child is watching the fireworks with my sister.

I never knew how much Disney could really mean to me, however, until I grew up and began taking my stepdaughter. Her diagnosis of autism has made me see Disney in a whole new way and has led me to appreciate how much Disney does for its guests that have special needs. I’ve had to learn so many of the “ins and outs” of disability access passes and special needs travel at Disney, mostly on my own.

It’s exciting to me to think I could use that to share with another family and make their vacation magical as well.

  • Favorite destination: Disney World in Florida!
  • Favorite resort: I love staying at Art of Animation! The hotel is so fun to walk around and see all of the different artwork from our favorite Disney movies.
  • Favorite season to travel: Halloween! I love Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween party and dressing up with my family as our favorite characters.
