The Disney Magic was Disney’s first ship, built in the legendary Fincantieri shipyards in Italy. Its sister ship, the Disney Wonder shares the same spacious layout and outer design with fantastic personality.

Fun Facts About the Disney Magic and Disney Wonder

Every ship needs a Godmother – the Disney Magic‘s is Tinkerbell and the Disney Wonder‘s is Patty Disney.

The external design of the ships was inspired by Mickey Mouse – black, white, yellow and red colours were used to paint the hulls, trims, funnels and decks.

Every Disney ship has an atrium lobby statue celebrating a Disney Character; Ariel is on the Disney Wonder and Mickey at the helm on the Disney Magic.

The decor of the Buena Vista Theatrewas designed to emulate the elegant movie houses of the 1920s and 1930s, the period when Walt Disney was producing the first Mickey Mouse animated films.
