The most wonderful time of the year is just around the corner at Magic Kingdom — which means the sleigh bells are jingling and the countdown to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party has officially begun. If a storybook holiday evening is on your family’s wish list, this is the one to circle on the calendar.

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is a separately ticketed event that celebrates the season at Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World. Expect festive entertainment, holiday overlays on classic rides, a cozy storybook atmosphere, and sweet treats around every corner. Here’s everything your family needs to know for 2026 — gathered with care so the planning feels as merry as the party itself.

2026 Party Dates

This year’s celebrations run on select nights from Sunday, November 8 through Tuesday, December 22.

  • November: 8, 9, 12, 13, 15, 17, 19, 20, 24, 25, 27, 29
  • December: 1, 3, 4, 6, 8, 10, 11, 13, 15, 17, 18, 20, 22

A lovely perk: party guests can begin the holiday cheer early. While the party officially starts at 7:00 p.m., ticketed guests may enter Magic Kingdom as early as 4:00 p.m. — a full three extra hours to soak in the magic.

2026 Party Tickets

Special event tickets become available on July 9 for guests staying at select Walt Disney World Resort hotels, the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels, and Shades of Green. For all other guests, tickets open on July 16.

These nights are popular and capacity is limited, so it’s wise to plan ahead. Your Practically Perfect Advisor can help you choose the best date and be ready the moment tickets go live.

Character Greetings

Find yuletide cheer around every corner with exclusive party character greetings:

  • Princess Fairytale Hall: Anna and Elsa
  • Town Square Theater: Jack Skellington as Santa and Sally; Mickey and Minnie in their finest holiday looks

Meet Santa at Santa’s Christmas Carnival

Head to Storybook Circus — near Dumbo the Flying Elephant and The Barnstormer — to visit a friend all the way from the North Pole. It’s a perfect stop for young families, with crafts, more cheerful friends to meet, and of course, a visit with Santa himself.

Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmas Parade

This enchanting parade captures the spirit of the holidays with dancing gingerbread men, whimsical ballroom dancers, beloved marching toy soldiers, and upbeat music and scents that put everyone in the festive spirit. Disney characters appear in their holiday best before the parade concludes with a special appearance by Santa Claus.

Because the parade travels from Frontierland to Main Street, U.S.A., there are plenty of wonderful viewing spots throughout the park.

Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks

Hosted by Minnie Mouse, this nighttime spectacular pairs holiday classics like “Deck the Halls” and “We Wish You a Merry Christmas” with stunning pyrotechnics, castle projections, and lighting effects. Cinderella Castle is wrapped like a present in vibrant holiday scenes, all synchronized to the music above.

Great views can be found in Liberty Square, Fantasyland, and Tomorrowland. For an extra-special evening, the returning Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks Dessert Parties offer an abundance of treats and incredible views — a separately priced experience, with reservation details coming soon.
